GPS
The use of a GPS device will be mandatory since this first edition De Ida y Vuelta Hard Enduro. The route will be perfectly marked with plastic tapes, but those marks can be lost, moved, changed or destroyed, so the use of GPS totally necessary to stay on the route.
If you get lost, the GPS will bring you back to the right track.
When you do your online registration you will have to specify the gps model you will be using. Subsequently, on day 0 you must deliver your GPS to the navigation tent, the route will be loaded into your device and it will be returned to you on the morning of day 2 (first offroad day) before your departure. The same procedure will apply for Day 3 (second and last offroad day). It will only be allowed to participate with a single GPS, if the organizers find out that you are using 2 devices, then you will be disqualified.
All competitors must give back their GPS to the navigation staff immediately after crossing the finish line each day. Whoever does not return the GPS in one of the two days of competition will be disqualified.
The following is the list of GPS devices we recomend to be use for the race:
- eTrex Series: Touch 25, 10, 20, 20x, 30, 30x, 35t
- Colorado Series: 300, 400c, 400i, 400t
- Dakota Series: 10, 20
If you have another Garmin GPS model or another GPS brand, contact the organizers before doing the registration process.
